Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door lock which is suitable for a door end lock for a sliding door in which a sickle-shaped latch protrudes and retreats from the end of the sliding door, which is easy to install a latching seat for engaging and disengaging a latch body and a latch without requiring special processing to the sliding door and a door frame, which is easy for maintenance, and can switch between automatic locking and unlocking switching functions in a selective manner.SOLUTION: There is provided a sliding door lock which includes a door frame, a sliding door fitted therein in a slidable manner, and an indoor lock 7 provided at an indoor side of the sliding door, in which a latching seat formed at the door frame with an engaging hole, which is configured to include, in the indoor lock, a sickle-shaped latch 8 provided to the latching seat in a detachable manner, a trigger that can appear and disappear when the sliding door is opened or closed, and a dead bolt 75 provided so as to advance and retreat to and from the latch receiving seat when the sliding door is opened and closed and accommodating the latch so that it can protrude and retreat. The sliding door lock has an automatic locking function and an unlocking switching function and makes it selectively switchable. The automatic locking function enables locking and unlocking of the sliding door, engages the latch with the latch receiving seat when the sliding door is locked, and makes it possible to automatically form and maintain the engaged state at the time of closing the sliding door.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
