Abstract:

To provide a sliding door retentive structure of high degree of freedom and easily adaptable to an opening of any shape and size without restriction to the shape and size of the opening.

This retentive structure is to be mounted on the the outside of a wall W to retain a sliding door 20 for opening and closing an opening K formed on the wail W by making a parallel movement to the wall W and is installed on the outer side of the wall W and adjacent to the opening K. A head jamb 30 is fixed to the wall W along the upside of the opening K and a threshold 40 is fixed on a floor 60 along the lower side of the opening K, while the head jamb 30 is stored inside a box-shaped end rail portion 50.
