Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the passage of a wheelchair by cutting off a return piece inside a stile and bringing an end of a bottom rail into contact with a return piece outside the stile to take the bottom rail into the stile so as to be connected thereto.
SOLUTION: A return piece 22 inside a stile 2 of a sliding door is cut off corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of a taking-in part of a bottom rail 1 of the sliding door. And the bottom rail 1 is taken into the stile 2 so as to be connected to the stile by means of screws 3 to be screwed into screw holes 13 of return pieces 11, 12 of the bottom rail 1 in such a manner that the bottom rail 1 is in contact with a return piece 21 outside the stile 2. And sash rollers 5 are mounted to such portions of the bottom rail 1 that are taken into the stile 2. Further, three sliding doors are put into an open frame. As a result, a wheelchair can be passed, while the sliding doors are fully opened, and the stability of three sliding doors can be enhanced.
