To provide a sliding gate enabling the mounting of an electric sensor on a sliding gate which was not allowed in a conventional one, capable of providing a unified aesthetic appearance by installing, on the sliding gate, the same electric sensor mounted at the upper part of a fence, and in which the control of a crime prevention device is simply formed since the sliding gate and the fence use the same electric sensors.

This sliding gate comprises a door body 2 allowed to abut on a door contact column 3 vertically installed at one position of a passage part T, a wire sensor 7 installed at the upper part of the door body 2 and sensing the ride-over of the door body 2, a controller 8 receiving signals from the wire sensor 7 and transmitting signals to a warning device 9, a receiving terminal part 51 connected to the wire sensor 7 installed at the door contact part of the door body 2, and a power supply terminal part 31 supplying a power to the receiving terminal part 51 installed at the door contact part 3. The receiving terminal part 51 is joined to the power supply terminal part 31 in the closed state of the door body 2 to energize the wire sensor 7. Consequently, the upper part of the door body 2 is brought into a warning state.
