To provide a sliding control switch capable of preventing a finger from slipping when operating to slide a control lever by the finger, and a power tool for improving operativity and workability and also largely improving reliability, further preventing failures and improving safety in operation.
The sliding control switch 50 turns the control lever 4 slid by the finger to change over a switch. The control lever 4 is divided into a plurality of pieces including a slide lever 4b movable only in a switch changing direction R and a push lever 4a movable relatively downward of the slide lever 4b. The switch is so structured that the finger is put on both operating surfaces 4c of the slide lever 4b and the push lever 4a, and difference in height 17 appears at the border between both operating surfaces 4c as only the push lever 4a is pushed down by the finger when sliding.
