Title:
SLIDING PARTS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03110064
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the sliding parts, the crowning of which is not plastically deformed by a durability test, by brazing a wear resistant member of a sintered body to the sliding surface of a metallic base body and specifying the thickness of the brazing material layer.

CONSTITUTION: The wear resistant member 3 of the sintered body is joined by brazing to the sliding surface of the base body 1 consisting of the metal. The opposite surface of this wear resistant member 3 is made into a crown shape 4. The thickness of the brazing material layer 5 is, thereupon, specified to 3 to 15μm. The sliding parts of valve motion systems, such as tappets and rocker arms, of an internal combustion engine are improved by this invention. The stable sliding parts formed in such a manner that the crowning of the wear resistant member is not annihilated in spite of application of an impact load thereon are obtd. in this way.
