Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding plate and a method of effectively manufacturing the sliding plate maintaining a low friction coefficient stably for a long period of time.
SOLUTION: This sliding plate has a resin film on the surface of a metal base. The resin film is formed of a composition mainly composed of tetrafluoroethylene resin and has fine pores, and a flowable lubricant is held in the fine pores in a resin film surface part. The diameter of the fine pore is 10-100 μm, and an area occupied ratio is 10-50%. The sliding plate is manufactured by a method including a process of mixing the resin composition mainly composed of tetrafluoroethylene resin, and resin grains allowing the formation of sea-island structure with the resin composition, in a solvent, a process of applying an obtained mixture to the surface of the metal base to form a paint film of sea-island structure having sea structure comprising the resin composition and island structure comprising incompatible resin, a process of eliminating the resin of island structure contained in the paint film by dissolution or decomposition to form a plurality of pores in the paint film, and a process of applying the lubricant in the formed pores.
