There is provided the sliding type switch 1 having a sliding type object 20, a case 10 that sliding houses the sliding type object 20, and an operation button 30 that is installed on the case 10 and is integrally sliding moved with the sliding type object 20. Sidewall parts 31, 31 are installed so as to straddle over the case 10 on both sides of the operation button 30. On the other hand, by exposing the both side parts 22, 22 of the sliding type object 20 from the both sidewalls 11, 11 of the case 10 and by fixing a protruding part 23 of the both side parts 22, 22 of the sliding type object 20 to an engaging part 33 of the both side wall parts 31, 31 of the operation button 30 by a snap-in engagement, the operation button 30 is integrally formed with the sliding type object 20.
