Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method, with which large-sized thicker ceramic formed body with complicated shape can be produced without developing shrinkage cavity and the like.

CONSTITUTION: In the slip casting method concerned, un-cast slip within a formed body is not substantially cut off from the slip in an inlet region 4b until the completion of the casting of the slip in a ceramic formed body portion 4a when the slip 6 is poured in the cavity 4 of a slip casting mold 1, at the inlet region 4b of the cavity of which non-water absorbing member 5 is arranged for retarding the casting of the slip.
