PURPOSE: To provide a slip ring whose wear due to sliding contact between a contact and a conductor plate is reduced, whose assembly work onto a steering device is simple.
CONSTITUTION: A projection part 11 is installed on the inner peripheral face of an upper case 1 which is one housing and detachable regulation walls 9 are installed in the inner case 2 arranged in the inner portion of the upper case 1 with a prescribed space from the projeciton part 11, and first and second contacts 12, 15 fixed at the inner case 2 are led out to the outside of the upper case 1 through a lead cable 19. The rotation of the upper case 1 is not transmitted to the inner case 2 within the range of a play between the projection part 11 and the regulation wall 9, and the respective contacts 12, 15 do not slide within that range with referenct to conductor plates 6,7.
