To provide a small article storage device improved so as to enable a reduction in manufacturing cost in addition to the securement of stiffness when bringing the lid into a closed state and smoothness during opening/closing operations.
The small article storage device has a box body (2), which is equipped with a main guide groove (5) forming an arc whose center is taken as a fixed shaft (4) on a side wall and a sub guide groove (6) forming an arc whose center is taken as one end of the guide groove (5) and branching off from the guide groove (5) in a centrifugal direction, a lid body (3), which is equipped with a first shaft (7) engaged with the guide groove (5) during closing and a second shaft (8) engaged with the guide groove (6) and covers the opening of the box body (2), and an arm (9) for coupling the fixed shaft (4) and the first shaft (7) together. The storage device is constituted in such a manner that at least part of the lid body (3) during opening is housed inside the box body (2). The groove width of a section receiving the first shaft (7) during the closing of the lid body (3) in the guide groove (5) is taken as a dimension enabling relative close engagement with the first shaft (7), and the groove widths of the other sections are taken as dimensions enabling the first and second shafts (7) and (8) to be relatively loosely received. Consequently, only an increase in the accuracy of part of the groove enables the securement of the stiffness when bringing the lid into the closed state and the smoothness during the opening/closing operations.
