PURPOSE: To obtain a small potable electric appliance with high added value by showing the capacity of a source battery of an electric appliance using a presenting means of a timer attached to the electric appliance.

CONSTITUTION: An electric source Q of an electric appliance such as electric shaver comprises a charging device 11 having a plug for connection to the commercial electric source, transformer, rectifier circuit and etc., the output of which charging device 11 charges a storage battery 9, and the extent of charging of the storage battery 9 is detected by a charged capacity detecting circuit 14. A storage battery capacity detector R is constituted with the circuit 14 and a driving circuit 6a of a motor 6, and output signals from the detector R are transmitted to a timer part S. In the timer parts a quartz ossilator 22a as a counter, dividing circuit 22b, and counting circuit 22c are provided, and output signals from the counting circuit 22c are sent to a display driving circuit 22g to make a display on a display panel 21 required for a timer device. The output of the charged capacity detecting circuit 14 of the storage battery 9 is led to the dispaly driving circuit 22g, and the charging capacity is displayed at a mark 21e.
