Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption at the time of generating a background noise in a soundless state without causing sense of incongruity in an auditory sense.
SOLUTION: A background noise code interpolating section 133 performs interpolation between a received background noise code stored in an encoded information storing section 121 and a received background noise code of the previous time stored in a background noise code storing section 134. A interpolated background noise code is decoded by a high efficiency voice decoding section 143. A decoded background noise signal is stored in a background noise signal storing section 154. A background noise signal stored in the background noise signal storing section 154 is successively selected and outputted by a background noise signal selecting section 153. While a background noise signal is outputted from the background noise signal selecting section 153, operation of the high efficiency voice decoding section 143 is stopped.
