Abstract:
To provide a small switch for DC current cut-off in which an opening speed of a movable contact is accelerated, a generated arc is drawn by applying a magnetic field to the arc and further, re-arc caused by ionized gas is prevented effectively.
A small switch for DC current cut-off comprises a shield panel device 19 inserted between a fixed contact 18 and a movable contact 15, and a permanent magnet 21 disposed by the side of the fixed contact 18 and the movable contact 15 such that an arc generated in opening a cable run with the shield panel device 19 is drawn by magnetism.
