To provide a fire sliding door permitting the passage of a fire prevention door by opening and closing the door at ordinary times without increasing a mechanical load thereby permitting the free passage of people there through but, in the case of a fire, a smoke shielding peripheral portion of the door is tightly closed and the passage of a flame can be effectively prevented.
A hygroscopic swelling member 16 having a cross section permitting the formation of an air gap (g) between a smoke insulation peripheral edge portion 8c of a fire door 8 and an opening frame body 3 fixed to a building is adhered to the inside of the opening frame body 3. In the case of a fire, a linkage releasing mechanism 18 is operated by the response of an operation current from a smoke detector or the like, and a water supply piston 17d urged by a spring 17h is reciprocated inside a water supply cylinder 17b. Water W inside the water supply cylinder 17b is supplied to a smoke insulation member 16; it is expanded by absorbing water from the inside of the opening frame body 3 to an air gap g, and the air gap (g) is tightly closed.
