To provide a smokeless roaster having such construction that when deodorizing material of a deodorizing means is installed in mid-way of an exhaust route once, its function is semipermanently kept without renewing it, and also eye-irritating materials can be converted into other harmless mate rial.

A smokeless roaster 6 provided with at least a combustion part, an exhaust route 3 having an annular suction port 2 in the upper, outer peripheral part thereof, and an electric precipitating means 4 interposed in mid-way of the exhaust route 3 is manufactured. As a deodorizing means 5 of the smokeless roaster 6, a light source 7 and a deodorizing catalyst C activated by light from the light source are combined and incorporated into the exhaust route 3.
