Title:
SNOW BOARD TIP PROTECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3084615
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the snow board tip from being scratched and deformed when a snow board is carried, by forming a groove to be inserted into the snow board edge and to be nipped by a elastic pressing means on the inside end surface of a tip protector consisting of a nearly U-shaped elastic material to be fitted to the end edge part in the longitudinal direction of the snow board.
SOLUTION: This protector is fitted so as to cover both longitudinally- directed end edges or the edge surface of either one tip and both front/back surfaces of the edge 10. The end edges of the board 2 are inserted into the inside edge surface of the tip protector 1 consisting of such an elastic material as a nearly U-shaped plain plastics, rubber and the like. A groove 4 to be narrow-nipped by the protector formed member itself or a cramp provided to the former, is formed. Namely, the groove 4 having a contact surface with a width equal to the thickness in the board 2 and whose inlet width is notched below it, is formed so as to narrow the tip distance, further. This prevents the board 2 tips from being scratched and deformed, facilitating an ease of freely attaching the protector thereto and detaching it therefrom.
