Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable snow with a low bulk density to be produced in a large quantity by providing a rotor with teeth for preventing ice from escaping.
CONSTITUTION: A rotor 9 has a slant surface 10 with a large inclination. An upper cover 11 for pressing ice 4 is provided at an upper part of the rotor 9, and inner surfaces of the slant surface 10 and the cover 11 are provided with a multiplicity of teeth 12 for preventing the ice 4 from escaping. With this construction, even when the rotating frequency of the rotor 9 is reduced for making snow 5 with a low bulk density, the ice 4 is securely pressed against a cutting blade 2 under the function of the teeth 12. As a result, snow 5 with a low bulk density can be produced in a large quantity.
