PURPOSE: To make a snow traveling vehicle small and inexpensivce and improve its running ability and right-left moving stability by providing a pair of running directional change sleigh boards on both front sides of the vehicle mainframe so that the sleigh boards can have contact with a snow covered road when located on both sides of the vehicle mainframe and they can be isolated therefrom by narrowing a space between the sleigh boards when located in front thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A leg rod 35 has the base end pivotally supported on a bearing frame 33 fixed on the front side of a vehicle mainframe 2 and the end connected to a steering plate 37 in an oscillatable manner, so that a rotating plate fixed to the shaft of a servo motor 38 is connected to the steering plate 37 to which sleigh boards 44 are connected. During manned operation, a facing space K between both sleigh boards 44 is narrowed to fix the leg rod 35 at a high position in front of the vehicle mainframe 2 where both sleigh boards 44 are isolated from a snow covered road. During unmanned operation, the leg rod 35 is swung to both front sides of the vehicle mainframe 2, a facing space K between both sleigh boards 44 is widened, and a locking bolt is locked to the leg rod 35 to allow the sleigh boards 44 to have contact with a snow covered road. As a result, the vehicle mainframe 2 is made smaller, improved in running ability and right-and-left moving stability and manufactured at a low cost.
