The socket connector used to connect a central processing unit electrically with a circuit board includes an insulating housing and a plurality of terminals. The insulating housing is furnished with a plurality of terminal holes formed in a matrix arrangement, and engaging grooves are formed at the two confronting sides of the terminal holes. Each terminal is installed in the respective terminal hole and is composed of a body and a contacting part and joining part extending from the confronting sides of the body. The contacting part includes a resilient part and a conductive contacting part, wherein the body is located in proximity to the joining part, and the remaining side edges confronting are engaged with the terminal holes, so that a long resilient part is established.
