PURPOSE: To smoothly attach or detach an integrated circuit piece and reduce the space factor of a slider, by electrically connecting the legs of the integrated circuit piece to the contact plate of a socket by one action of the slider provided with wedge-like projections.
CONSTITUTION: Beak-like contact plates 4 and operating salient lugs 6 are provided on oblong rests 1 so that the lugs 6 are erect on near the outer edges of the rests. Socket bodies are placed on a base plate P so that the socket bodies face each other on projections 3 and nip-hold the outside surfaces of the beak-like contact plates 4. The operating lugs 6 are engaged by the wedge-like projections 11, 12 of a slider 13 and moving plates are displaced to electrically connect or disconnect the contact plates 4 of sockets to or from the leads of an integrated circuit piece. Since such a slider 3 is used, the edges of deformed recesses 11, 12 are not hooked on the operating lugs 6 even if the slider 13 is moved in a direction for lock-up and moved again in the same direction. Thus, the integrated circuit piece is smoothly attached or detached. Since the slider is used only in opening or closing, the space factor is reduced.
