To provide a socket joint capable of preventing transmission of the magnetic force from a socket to a spindle by a non-magnetic metal, and preventing any wear or deformation of a fitting part consisting of the non-magnetic metal by eliminating any space between the fitting part and the spindle.
The socket joint A which is interposed between a socket B to be attached to a bolt or a nut and a spindle C1 of a torque wrench C and transmits the torque of the spindle C1 to the socket B, comprises a steel-made insertion angle 1 to be attached to the socket B, a non-magnetic metal inner cylinder 2 in which the insertion angle 1 is fixed to its distal end and a fitting part 21 with the spindle C1 being attached thereto being provided on its base part, and a non-magnetic metal outer cylinder 3 to be screwed to the inner cylinder 2 with the inner cylinder 2 being inserted from the base part side. A slit 22 and a taper 23 in the axial direction are formed on the base part of the inner cylinder 2, and a taper 31 slidably brought into contact with the taper 23 of the inner cylinder 2 is formed on the base part of the outer cylinder 3.
