To easily and certainly connect a socket for a USB circuit board with a circuit board by ensuring a given interval for the circuit board via an area for supporting and connecting a bottom part and soldering a socket housing for attaching an insulator provided with a signal connection portion.
A socket housing 1 formed by punching and bending a metal plate, a tongue-shaped lock parts 26 and 27 engaged with a shield housing groove of a bus plug engaged with an upper wall part 9 and bottom parts 10' and 10" are formed, and further, a fixing plate 11' constituting a supporting and connecting area extending from a rim part of the bottom parts 10' and 10" and bent at 180 degrees is fixed by engaging a collar of a punched hole 15 with a hole 17 of a printed circuit board 2. In this housing 1, an insulator 3 is attached via a cutout 25 provided at a side wall 8. At this insulator 3, four signal contact parts standardized under a USB standards to be contacted and connected with the bus plug are arranged in parallel, and a connection end of its extension part is soldered on a surface of the circuit board 2, and is connected to a corresponding conductor.
