Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the soft contact lens which provides a sufficient sight correcting power in wear, less affects the cornea and is not easily broken in handling of the lens, such as washing by using specific four components as essential components. CONSTITUTION:This lens consists essentially of 2,3-dihydroxy propyl methacrylate (A), N,N-dimethyl acrylamide (B), alkyl (meth)acrylate (C) having 1 to 4C alkyl group, and fluoroalkyl (meth)acrylate (D). The component A is preferably incorporate into the lens at 40 to 50 pts.wt., the component B at 10 to 30 pts.wt., the component C at 10 to 30 pts.wt., and the component D at 5 to 20 pts. wt. The lens which has the optical performance to allow the sufficient correction of the astigmatism of the cornea, has the mechanical strength to prevent the easy failure of the lens during handling of the lens, such as washing and the high safety to substantially prevent the sticking of stains and to supress the propagation of bacteria is obtd. in this way. Since the contact lens has a proper moisture content, the contact lens having the excellent wearing feel is obtd.
