PURPOSE: To provide a soft intraocular lens which enables enhancing of restorability after being bent by constructing the intraocular lens of a copolymer containing a benzoic acid unsaturated ester monomer, perfluoroctylethyloxyalkylene (meth)acrylate, alkyl (meth)acrylate and cross- linking monomer as requisite monomer components.
CONSTITUTION: An soft intraocular lens is constructed of a copolymer having a benzoic acid unsaturated ester monomer given by formula I, a perfluorooctylethyloxyalkylene (meth)acrylate monomer given by formula III and an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer given by formula IV and cross-linking monomer as requisite monomer components, a wherein x represents hydrogen atom, a 1-18C alkyl group, a 1-18C alkoxy group, halogen atom or an aromatic group, Y is as given by formula II (n is 0, 1 or 2), R1, R2 represent independently hydrogen atom or a methyl group (m is 0 or 1-4), R3 represents hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R4 represents a 4-18C linear or branched alkyl group.
