Abstract:
PURPOSE: To achieve desired adjustment of a radiation range by shielding part of a soft X-ray from a soft X-ray tube by a collimator.
CONSTITUTION: In a soft X-ray static elimination device 2 to eliminate static electricity by radiating a soft X-ray to a board 1 from a soft X-ray tube 4, a collimator 7 is installed to shield part of the soft X-ray from the tube 4 for adjusting a radiation range of the soft X-ray as desired. The collimator 7 is composed of such material that can shield radiation of the soft X-ray, that is a metal plate of Fe, Al, Cu, etc., or a resin plate of vinyl chloride, plastic, etc., for example. The collimator 7 is installed around the tube 4 to shield part of the soft X-ray radiated from the tube 4, so the radiation range of the soft X-ray is limited and adjusted, and the minimum shielding can be achieved.
