Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject finishing agent capable of exhibiting sufficient softening effects even by its use together with a detergent by coating a substrate such as a nonwoven fabric carrying a water-soluble nitrogen compound of a specific amine and an anionic surfactant in an immiscible state with a polymer soluble in an alkaline solution.
CONSTITUTION: A softening and finishing agent for clothes is obtained by applying (A) a water-soluble nitrogen compound selected from an amine having 1 to 2 long-chain lipophilic groups, its neutralized substance and quaternized substance and (B) a water-soluble anionic surfactant selected from a carboxylate having one long-chain lipophilic group and the same sulfonate, etc., in an immiscible state to (C) a substrate composed of a nonwoven fabric, paper or a sponge, etc., and impregnating or coating the resultant substrate with a polymer, e.g. CMC soluble in an aqueous solution at pH10-11. A combination of a compound expressed by formula I (R2 to R4 and R6 are H, 1-4C alkyl, etc.; R5 is 11-21C alkyl, etc.) as the component (A) with a compound expressed by formula II (R11 is 6-16C hydrocarbon; M is H or alkali metal) as the component (B) can be exemplified as a preferred example.
