To provide a highly productive sol solution for manufacturing a fine particle aggregation of a metal oxide, its manufacturing method, a fine particle aggregation of the metal oxide manufactured from the sol solution and suitable to photoelectric material and photo conductive material, and a high performance photoelectric conversion apparatus with the fine particle aggregation of the metal oxide.
By dissolving a high molecular compound containing a carboxyl group into a solution containing at least a metal alkoxide, a gel compound containing a high molecular compound with the carboxyl group and the metal alkoxide is produced. With continuous reaction, a dispersed colloid sol solution of fine particle metal oxide is then produced. The dispersed colloid sol solution of fine particle metal oxide is mixed with at least one type solvent selected from alcohols, ethers and ketones each being water-soluble solvent and having a boiling point of 120°C and/or water in soluble solvent having a boiling point of 120°C or higher. With this mixing, a sol solution for manufacturing fine particle aggregation of metal oxide is obtained.
