To provide a solar battery power supply device which only interrupts the charging of a battery and, at the same time, supplies electric power to a load from the battery without instantaneous interruption depending upon the generated voltage of a solar battery power generator or the ambient temperature of the battery.
A solar battery power supply device is provided with a voltage comparator 6 which compares the voltage generated from a reference voltage generator 5 with the voltage generated from a solar battery power generator 1 and outputs the compared results and a charging-of-battery interrupting switch 7 which supplies the output of the power generator 1 to a battery 2 so as to charge the battery 2 in accordance with the output signal of the comparator 6. When the voltage generated from the power generator 1 is higher than that generated from the reference voltage generator 5, the overcharging of the battery 2 is prevented while the switch 7 is opened and the output of the power generator 1 is supplied to a load 3.
