PURPOSE: To enhance the operational efficiency of a heat collector system as well as increase the heat collecting performance by a method in which the frequency of a frequency conversion type compressor is controlled on the basis of insolation amount and open air temperature detected by an insolation detector and an open air temperature sensor, and the frequency of the compressor is increased when the sunlight is present and when the open air temperature is low.
CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant gas compressed by a frequency conversion type compressor 3 flows into a condenser 4 and is condensed there, and the condensed liquid refrigerant flows into an expander 5, reduced in pressure, and flowed into a heat collector 1. The liquid refrigerant collects heat, is gasified there, and returned to the compressor 3. In a heat exchanger 7, water sent through a circulating pump 6 is heated by the heat of condensation and returned to a heat storage tank 8. These processes are repeated to raise the temperature of water in the tank 8. In cases where the amount of insolation detected by an insolation amount detector 9 is greater than a set value in the cycle and also the temperature of open air detected by an open air temperature sensor 10 is lower than a given set value, a signal to increase the frequency of the compressor 3 is sent out by the controller 11. The operational efficiency of the heat collector system can thus be raised by enhancing the heat collecting amount ratios in the insolation time period of good operational efficiency.
