To provide an apparatus which efficiently utilizes electricity stored in a rechargeable battery unit, e.g., at night, thereby charging as many electric vehicle as possible.
The apparatus includes a roof member 11 supported by supporting poles 10 erected on a floor surface, photovoltaic modules 2 provided on the roof member 11, a rechargeable battery which stores electricity generated by the photovoltaic modules 11, a charging stand which supplies charging electricity to vehicles, an LED lighting 3 which includes high-luminosity LED lighting elements and low-luminosity LED lighting elements to be lit with electricity from the rechargeable battery, and a control unit which detects the vehicles and controls ON and OFF of the lighting appliances based on the detection.
