Abstract:
PURPOSE: To operate an image pickup operation by controlling an exposing period within one field-one frame range by an electronic shutter function.
CONSTITUTION: The electronic shutter control of sweeping an image pickup charge obtained from photoelectric conversion elements 14 and 15 of a frame interline transfer type CCD image sensor 10 to an overflow drain by each one field is operated, and the image pickup charge of each filed is alternately read to a vertical transfer register 18 of an image pickup part 11 by each one field just before the image pickup charge is swept to the overflow drain by the electronic shutter control. Then, this device is equipped with a timing signal generator 1 which operates the control of adding the image pickup charge to the image pickup charge of one field previously read to the vertical transfer register 18 and reading it to the photoelectric conversion element of each field by the electronic shutter control.
