PURPOSE: To make it suitable to product many kinds of shoes but a small amount without increasing the production cost of metallic molds by a method wherein a primary sole layer is fixed on the bottom of an upper made by covering an insole and a secondary sole layer on the bottom of the primary sole layer.

CONSTITUTION: An upper is made by a method wherein an insole (11) is covered with outer leather (10) and a stuck each other. A piece of unvalcanized rubber is put into the bottom space which is made among the upper, metallic molds on both sides (right and left) and a metallic mold on the bottom of it, and is heated and pressurized, then a rubber sole member (1) having an almost smooth near surface is made as a primary sole layer. After that,spacers (15), which are composed of shank pads (12), and sponge, cork and the like (used as shock absorber), are filled in the hollow section (13a) of a sole member (13). A sole touching on the ground (14) is firmly connected to the primary sole layer by a method wherein it (14) is sewed on the sole member (13) by sewing around its outer margin (18) or stuck with cementation for which an adhesive is used or the like. It is also possible to make the sole member (13) by an injection molding method.
