To provide a solid collecting device which catches a solid of heavy specific gravity from kitchen drainage and disposer drainage, in order to prevent the deposition of the solid at the midpoint of a drain pipe to clog the pipe.
The pipe dedicated for disposer drainage has an aperture formed at the pipe bottom thereof to which a container having a space for sedimentation from the drainage is attached, to thereby settle the solid of heavy specific gravity contained in the drainage in the solid collecting device by the sedimentation procedure. The settled solid is retained in the solid collecting device up to a predetermined amount, and then part of the solid collecting device is detached, to thereby periodically remove and dispose of the deposited solid. The solid collecting device has a portion having an inverted inclination to the inclination of the drain pipe or a zero inclination, and therefore the flow rate of the drainage is reduced to accelerate the sedimentation of the solid. The solid collecting device has a baffle at the pipe bottom for catching the solid of heavy specific gravity, flowing on the bottom of the dedicated drain pipe and therefore garbage flowing on the pipe bottom is not brought to a following stage.
