PURPOSE: To provide the safe solid deodorant compsn. which sustains the removal of malodors over a long period of time, suppresses propagation of general bacteria, maintains cleanliness at all times and does not emit strong stimulative smells.

CONSTITUTION: This solid deodorant compsn. contains a metallic sulfate, aldehyde compd. and deodorant perfume in a base consisting of a water-soluble base and a hardly water-soluble base. Polyethylene glycol compds., for example, polyethylene glycol and polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester, etc., are used as the water-soluble base. The hardly water-soluble base is exemplified more specifically by alkylol amide type nonionic surfactants, stearic acid, etc. The ratio of the water-soluble base and the hardly water-soluble base is 85:15 to 95:5 by weight.
