Abstract:
To provide a solid developer for developing the silver halide photographic sensitive material superior in storage stability.
This developer comprises reductions and an alkali metal carbonate and an alkali metal bicarbonate in a molar ratio of 0.3-0.8, or reductions and ≥40% carbonates, and Na+ and K+ ions in a Na+/K+ ratio of 0-0.3. It is preferred that this developer is formed into tablets each having a carbonate content of 40-70%.
