Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid display element which has a solid shape to make it less in deterioration and high in high reliability.
SOLUTION: The solid display element having much advantages has a solid material 2 wherein electronic orbits of constituent electrons of a solid exhibit an alignment state, electrodes 3 and 4 between which voltage for controlling phase transition of the alignment state of the electronic orbits is applied and a light controlling means generating rotation of a polarization surface of light made incident from an external part of the solid material 2 and transmitted or reflected.
