Title:
SOLID ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003346817
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To solve problems that the power generation output of a conventional fuel cell using a thin film solid oxide electrolyte is considerably lower than that of a ceramic solid electrolyte fuel cell, and the output improvement has been demanded for practical use.
In the solid electrolyte fuel cell having a three-layered structural body holding an electrolyte 1 by a fuel electrode 2 and an air electrode 3, a large number of small granular electrodes 2A and 3A are provided on the surface of the electrolyte 1 with at least one of the fuel electrode 2 and the air electrode 3 as a reaction electrode to decompose gas. The power generation output in the low-temperature operated fuel cell is improved by using the thin film type solid oxide electrolyte.
