PURPOSE: An inexpensive and readily obtainable solid fuel simultaneously solving problems of ignitability, rapid heating properties, fire power adjusting properties, fire power retention and cleanliness, obtained by blending finely powdered carbon with a blowing agent, etc., kneading, expanding and molding.

CONSTITUTION: Finely powdered carbon is optionally blended with other combustible substances or mixed with a binder for them, if necessary, and further incorporated with a blowing gent and kneaded, expanded and molded to give the aimed solid fuel.

EFFECT: The solid fuel can be effectively impregnated with a volatile fuel such as an alcohol, an oily fuel, etc. Solid fuels separately made for purposes are combined and used so that heating process can be freely controlled.
