PURPOSE: To obtain a picture whose image resolution is high, without performing a complicated and fine working technique, by constituting a line transfer part of 2 transfer parts, and transferring each different signal.

CONSTITUTION: When a prescribed pulse signal is applied to electrodes A1∼A3, a photosensitive part 11 transfers in parallel photoelectric conversion and signal charge obtained by photoelectric conversion, to a transfer part 12. The transfer part 12 is driven by a pulse signal applied to electrodes 81∼83, stores the signal charge temporarily, and transfers it to the next first line transfer part 13 by prescribed timing. Every other signal in the signals shifted to the transfer part 13 is transferred to the second line transfer part 14. In the transfer parts 13, 14, the signal charge is transferred to the left from the right by applying a pulse to electrodes H1∼H4, and signals are obtained from output terminals V01, V02. These 2 signals are constituted of different color signals, and a luminance signals is obtained by synthesizing them.
