PURPOSE: To obtain a solid, swallowable pharmaceutical dosage form for temporary relief of coughs and sore throat. CONSTITUTION: This dosage form contains a solid core comprising a therapeutically effective amount of an analgesic and an anti-titussive, and a menthol- flavored film coating in an amount sufficient to provide sensory stimulation of the throat and nasal passage-way when the dosage form is placed in the oral cavity and swallowed, is coated on the core.
