To provide a solid oxide fuel battery with excellent temperature rising property and starting performance of a fuel battery cell.
Inter-connectors 8, 9 are arranged through porous bodies 6, 7 on either side of a cell support plate 5 of a fuel battery cell 4, a first fuel gas flow channel A1 for supplying fuel gas to the fuel battery cell 4, and a second fuel gas flow channel A2 for supplying fuel gas to the porous body 6, are provided between the cell support plate 5 and the inter-connector 8 of a fuel electrode side. A first oxidizing gas flow channel B1 for supplying oxidizing gas to the fuel battery cell 4, and a second oxidizing gas flow channel B2 for supplying oxidizing gas to the porous body 7, are provided between the cell support plate 5 and the inter-connector 8 of an air electrode side. An opening part 12 for communicating between the porous bodies 6, 7 is provided on the cell support plate 5, and the fuel battery cell 4 is preheated by mixing and combusting the fuel gas and the oxidizing gas in a region with the opening part 12 as a center, thereby improving starting performance of a fuel battery C1.
