Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient solid polymer fuel cell generator and its operating method, which can start from stop in a short time, and recover an exhaust heat efficiently regardless of its compact and simple mechanical structure.
SOLUTION: A steam superheater 62 is installed in the down stream of an exhaust gas burner 4. In the down stream of the steam superheater, mixed fuel gas pre-heater 63 heating the fuel mixed with oxygen-containing gas which is to be supplied to a reformer 2, and a water evaporator 61 serving to generate steam to be supplied to a reformer 2, are installed in this order. To those equipments, a passage for a combustion gas is connected so that the combustion gas from the exhaust gas burner 4 passes through the steam superheater 62, the fuel gas preheater 63, the water evaporator 61, and a water condenser 5, in this order.
