To provide a means for increasing both of moistness and makeup lasting of hydrophobic powders prepared by treating the surface of scaly powders such as sericite by treatment such as perfluoroalkyl treatment, hydrogenmethylpolysiloxane baking, dimethylpolysiloxane baking treatment, metal soap coating treatment, or acylated amino acid coating treatment.

The surface treated powder is produced by covering (2) hydrophobic sericite or mica with (1) royal jelly and/or extracts thereof and added to cosmetics. The cosmetics are preferably solid powder cosmetics.
