The solid-state imaging apparatus is configured such that a floating switch 28 is provided between a ground level Vref2 and ground side terminals of a reset capacitor CapN and a signal level capacitor CapS for each column of an imaging pixel 10, the ground side terminals being connected in common, so as to disconnect the capacitors from a ground line, the floating switch 28 is turned off when respective sample signals (N) and (S+N) stored in the reset capacitor CapN and the signal level capacitor CapS are read on a horizontal signal line of a horizontal output section 50 so as to disconnect the reset capacitor CapN and the signal level capacitor CapS from the ground line thereby bringing the capacitors into a floating state.
