Abstract:

To provide a solid-state imaging device having a metasurface structure capable of condensing light to the center of a pixel even when the light is incident on a pixel region from an oblique direction.SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging device includes a pixel region including a plurality of pixels, and a polarization control element provided above the plane of incidence of incident light in the pixel region and including a plurality of microstructures arranged two-dimensionally substantially parallel to the plane of incidence, and the position in the first pixel of a first microstructure having the maximum length in the first polarization direction of the incident light among the plurality of microstructures corresponding to the first pixel in the pixel region depends on a distance from the center of the pixel region to the first pixel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
