PURPOSE: To obtain a solid-state waveguide having high dimensional accuracy, by constituting the titled waveguide with a solid-state waveguide section formed into a prescribed shape with a high dielectric material and a guide section formed on the surface of the solid-state waveguide section as a metallizing layer.
CONSTITUTION: The long rectangular solid-state waveguide section 11 is formed with a material showing a high dielectric to high frequencies. Thus, the waveguide section is formed directly different from a conventional one, forming the waveguide section with air gap of a pipe. Then, the waveguide section with high accuracy is attained. Further, the guide section 21 is formed on the side circumference of the solid-state waveguide section 11 as the metallizing layer. Thus, no air gap exists between the solid-state waveguide 11 and the guide section 21 and the disturbance of a radio wave at the boundary of both can be neglected. The solid-state waveguide having high dimensional accuracy is obtained with the solid-state waveguide 11 and the guide section 11 in this way.
