Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a solidifying agent which inhibits cement from scattering as dust.
CONSTITUTION: A solidifying agent is prepd. by mixing the main material such as cement, hydrated lime, or quick lime with a scattering inhibitor which is an alcohol or ether compd. or a mixture thereof with liq. paraffin. Examples of the alcohol or ether compd. are ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, propylene glycol, ethylene glycol dimethyl ether, and glycerol. The amt. mixed of the alcohol or ether compd. is 1-5% of the main material and that of liq. paraffin, is 1-5%. The ratio of the amt. mixed of the alcohol or ether compd. to that of liq. paraffin is (1:3) to (3:1).
