Abstract:
To obtain a cellulose acetate solution capable of reducing an alkaline earth metal salt of hemicellulose acetate, inhibiting oxidation and eliminating the occurrence of an end breakage, by adding a specific organic acid (alkali metal salt) to a solution obtained by dissolving a cellulose acetate in a solvent.
This solution of cellulose acetate is obtained by mixing a solution obtained by dissolving a cellulose acetate having preferably 2.2-2.7 acetylation degree with an organic acid (alkali metal salt) of the formula (R1 and R2 are each H or a 1-6C hydrocarbon; R3 is H or an alkali), preferably lactic acid in an amount to make the organic acid of 0.5-4.0 times as much as the alkaline earth metal contained in the cellulose acetate fiber.
