PURPOSE: To provide a solution-type soil stabilizer composed of an aqueous solution of water glass and an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid containing sodium chloride and sodium sulfate, having uniform and stable structure over a wide pH range and improved temperature dependency of gelling time, and exhibiting high uniaxial compression strength.
CONSTITUTION: The objective solution-type soil stabilizer is obtained by mixing (A) and aqueous solution of water glass preferably having an SiO2/M2O ratio of 3.0W4.5 (M is Na or K) and the total concentration of SiO2 and Na2O of 8W 28wt% and (B) an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid preferably containing (i) 2W7% sodium chloride and/or sodium sulfate and (ii) 3W8% sulfuric acid. The volume ratio of the components A to B is preferably 1:1.
